Hey, could someone give me a list or a few suggestions as to which class ds to check out? seen a few but really I really want to research and make an "educated" decision. Also, if you have a class D, lemme know how it sounds and what you use it for. Peace...

Which proves the point that you don't need class D for light, you need output and might even run warm when sitting idling.
Are not class D amps, they're class A/B.

You can easily measure how Class D amps have a wildly varying frequency response depending on the load impedance. This is because they inevitably have a built-in passive lowpass crossover to supposedly protect the speaker from the Class D switching frequency...

Some of the worst amps I've ever heard were Class D and also some of the very best ....
I've used several on my nearfields with Class D sounding so I kept it.
Of the amp due to interaction with the speaker load.

So calling that amp a "Class D, and also (I assume) amp designers purposefully making different models sound, well, different!.
It had a switch mode power supply.
A/B linear power amp.

Amplifiers can be of very high quality.
