To be honest I don't listen to much classical anymore since I've stopped learning piano, but I would like to rekindle my love for it. Some of my favorites are Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, and Debussy....

Anyone here listen to classical? I want to change it up a little, and this might give me some inner peace if I listen more to music such as classical. Plus, it might be easier to listen to classical than music with lyrics while studying or working.

If asked what sort of music I like, I, myself, would say I'm a "heavy metal" guy, but I like pieces of music from most genres (as anyone would). Asside from that I am a huge classical music fan.

I think a lot more thought goes into the composition of classical music. You have to know the tendencies of the instruments and voices you're composing for. The themes get developed a lot more than they do in rock music and other forms of popular music...
