Came out this morning to find about a 2 foot diameter puddle under the car of a clear oily substance. Any ideas where to start looking? I checked the top of the engine but everything was dry and the onboard levels all said ok.

Where under the car leaks out in a small amount, it can appear clear, and it has a slightly oil feel to it.
And, it would probably look clear as compared to used motor oil.

Personally I don't think it's worth it I used to take fish oil until I read all, it seems that fish oil has many....
However and see what happens.
Almost) nothing but great things about fish oil, so I'm going to see if it works for me.

To clear or to matt clear that is the question?
i'm just about to paint my dash when one of my co workers suggested i matt clear my dash so it wont glare that much but i was planning on clear coating it. anybody have an opinion???

Winter-grade hydraulic oil is 10W SAE - used in temps....
Standard hydraulic oil is 20W SAE, also non degergent and non foaming.
W SAE oil is non degergent and non foaming - so it's often used in hydraulic systems in warmer climates.

IIRC, Chris (F350-6) did an oil analysis of both oil it again.
My oil didn't look much different than the oil drained from the pan.
I even did the HPO change myself.
There was some debate on this awhile back.

Aren't the two pretty much the same thing.. oil poly vs. oil Varathane, except the Varathane (the brand) would be thinned for easy spread on floors and contain the Aluminum Oxide for 'hardness'? I see Varathane (the brand) gets pretty darn good reviews...

Oil-based Varathane poly ("high solids, low VOC") you can find Paint , Tried and True Danish Oil....
Some are optimized for floor resin so all are "polyurethane" .
Some are waterborne, some are oil based.
Of different finishing products.
