Now I know that most of yo re-title your HDT as a Motor Home this takes care of licensing, in some states, and cheap(er) registration in most states.
As I am in PA this can be complicated, all though I have heard it IS doable (this has been discussed)...

Personally, this kind of stuff really intrigues me and I applaud anyone who has completed this feat. Quite an accomplishment to have under your belt. After doing some research on it I think I'd rather throw in a few more bucks and book a flight with Virgin...

My wife and I submitted our Grand Canyon permit and we received a letter that we were denied because of inadequate space.
We were planning on doing a multi day Rim to Rim to hike at the end of September because that month had a statistically better rate...

Transcanyon Shuttle also now runs through October 31.
Is there another hike that is less popular that would have a better chance of getting a permit but just October 31.

With early time-slot permits would need to be aware of the time it takes to climb, and be aware the second (third?) year that the HD permit system is in place, additional time is probably still needed to iron out the bugs.

Hi Meadow Portage Rec Comm will be holding there annual derby. It will be held on May 20, sunday of the long weekend. Pending permit. Derby will start at Meadow Portage hall. Times will be posted later once derby permits are approved.
