That said, you will need to be very prolific with research (and a good heard it's easier to get an academic job... .
If you're primarily interested in research, I'm not sure a clinical program will offer any advantage over a non-clinical one.

Would anyone happen to know of any top ranked Masters programs in Clinical Psychology with a PhD/thesis track (i.e., that are designed for students who wish to pursue a Clinical PhD after earning a Masters degree)?
