I have five movie clips in my library. I want to load each to the stage with a fade in and fade out. I thought I could just call them into an array, but I can't find how to reference them. I have other clips in the library too so I can't just grab them...

If your clips aren't being loaded dynamic, why the alpha of the mySquare to 0 (directly before or after addChild) and then tween the alpha of the clip to 1.
The effect is often called an image rotator.

Var loader:Loader there is a public someMethod() defined in //the document class of the loaded SWF, you can call, but as you can imagine, its quite dirty.
You can access loaded SWF's methods and properties if both are AVM2 movies .

Hi I used some code that I found, I think even from you guys the scale an external swf being loaded onto a background movie clip. Works great with the exception that it clips some text and creates some funny diagonal lines and some poor picture quality...

A better approach would be to have these images in an external folder and load them up as needed a the flickr flash api to request sets from your flickr account and load in dynamically (i love this approach store the photoWidth and photoHeight....

Once the swf has completely loaded, then you won't get a null any more.
An event listener o the loader first so that you know when the load is complete.

Somewhere is the image loaded on the same domain ? Is a parent eating all the event or have a mouseChildren set to false ?

I'm working on a flash app where I load multiple swf's. But the problem is that they have different framerates (12/25/30). If I add 2 swf's they both play at 25fps. I found numerous topic about this but I can't get it to work (in AS3). Does anyone know...

So to adjust the speed....
That the most likely reason why this wouldn't work is that it requires every clip you load to be a simple 'stage') will run at the same speed - there is no way to have two clips running at different speeds.

Les Paul with '68 T Tops (7.35k) - '67 replica head - '70 slant cab with G12H's - SM57 - little Mackie mixer - RME Multiface sound card - Cool Edit Pro. No eq or FX added.
