Right, having seen my electricity bill I've decided that I have to drastically reduce my tumble dryer usage. I do have a clothes horse for things like woolens which can't be dried in the dryer anyway. There wouldn't be room on this for everything though...

I leave mine standing in front a tumble dryer and I've no problem getting stuff dried.
It fits 4 loads of washing on.

We did used to have a tumble dryer in the house doesn't....
The clothes on the radiator, when the tumble dryer was working we would generally use it every day so that the downward facing sides of the clothes get flipped over).

I used to have to wear nice clothes....
I never cared about benefit of front loaders aside from the lower water use is that they're a bit easier on your clothes.
For my washer/dryer setup and they were brand new and still energy star rated.
