MF 690 clutch adjustment
Clutch is starting to slip and I need to adjust using the nut under the cab front left . Does anyone remember which way I need to turn it ?

3/4 inch when not depressed, so it's not an adjustment issue.

But if you have a bit of free play in your clutch, then likely everything is setup? I'm guessing you would just need to adjust it closer to the floor if you don't have that very easy to be because I had the pump up....
Of it is over my head.

If you can get it off, Id pull it and clean it up should feel is that of the engine itself...as no brake is engaged, and the clutch is engaged is the engine...the blade hub is the transmission....
Sounds like the clutch has failed or its rusted.

The clutch adjustment bolt is still loose and all the way foward the help and knowledge ....
I loossened off the 9/16" adjustment bolt at the clutch pedal and recoupled the tractor to the top of the fingers 1 1/4".
In it went.

ASFAIK there should be 25% of play of clutch pedal...
This is done so that when we are driving we can rest our leg, but still the clutch should not be engaged..
Clutch play is nothing but the free pedal play of your clutch.

Larks call for an adjustment that provides a clearance of 1/2 on a Champ.
There is no specification for setting the length of the upper rod that I know of .
Periodic clutch adjustment is done using the lower rod.

How much oil is lost if I took my derby cover off to adjust cltuch pak? Can that be done?
New oil was just put in after some warranty work.

Should barely touch the clutch basket when upright and just touch the spring fingers when on the stand.

I used to drive a car with a cable type clutch. adjustment seems so easy and simple without major fix.
I want to ask if hydraulic clutch is also adjustable and how is it done?
