Will You Buy A Region-coded Format?
As a movie buff, I'd feel like my throat was cut, so to speak, if I couldn't purchase titles from overseas. There are some older or more obscure movies that may take longer or may never see a release here.
My first choice was HD-DVD and have purchased the XBox 360 drive. I'm now considering a purchase of the Playstation 3 to test the waters of Blu Ray. For the time being, most titles I'm after have been on HD-DVD.
I'll wait a little longer to purchase a dedicated HD player. So in summary, yes I will purchase a region-coded format, but will pray some bright spark in the near future finds a way around it.

The Rules Of Attraction - Which Region DVD?
Thanks for the advice, think I'll go for the region 4 version. Any recommendations where to buy it, I had a look at a couple of places but those damn shipping charges sure push the price up!

Can my USA bought 360 play region 2 DVD's?
Nope, the country you bought it from probably has it as a different region. It will tell you this when you attempt to play the DVD.

Are all region free dvds bootlegs?
What I usually do is cros reference from an e-cmmerce site I know is legit and check out thier encoding, features, packaging, etc. If anything differs, I'll move onto the next product.

PS3 region coding?
I bought myself a PS3 slim 250GB machine just after Christmas and I was wondering about region coding on games. I go to the US a few times each year and I'd quite like to be able to buy games that aren't available over here. All the games I have so far have a region 2 code on them according to the boxes. Does this mean that games are locked to particular regions?
