I have this "Columbian" M98 Mauser, 30.06 cal. It looks and feels like an FN, very smooth action. No proof marks, receiver appears to have been turned smooth, marked FAMAO 1952 and stamped ".30". Excellent bore, nice blued finish and bolt has been turned...

For the most part, the crest is a big oval filled with 'fuzz a 'smoothbore' .
