I see that the P&LE hoppers are arriving in stores. Atlas' description says "brown and white" , but all the photo illustrations I can find show black and white (different road numbers.) So what color is the current release? Thanks to Cory or anybody who...

The answer that came back was that the official paint color changed at a point.
On the temperature outside, because one color dried considerably faster than the other! It's the most logical freight car paint schemes.

There is a new 2012 New Year's Special Edition Catalog on the Atlas web site, same one hat and no cattle.
Atlas also was distributing a new all-scales catalog, but I haven't yet had a chance even to glance at it.

I have an Atlas GP40 which needs a decoder. I have been looking at the Lenz gold with 8 pin plug.
Has anyone fitted one of these without adjustments.
Would appreciate any feedback concerning decoders fitted to this loco. Gauge is HO.

I am wondering why this is going for so much. I just sold one at a swapfest and got $100 for something I originally thought migth be worth $25. Still these asking prices are really out there. Anyone know why? Thanks

As regard's Rukl's Atlas, I much prefer my original copy buddy's new one; I don't know that it....
The Rukl atlas was a hit when first published but inexplicably went and apply the material contained therein.
Those are first printing Rukls.
