I was looking at what the guys in the Mario AI Competition have been doing and some of them have built some pretty neat Mario bots utilizing the A* (A-Star) Pathing Algorithm.

I am trying to come up with an algorithm to compare two strings. It would register a match any words that contain the same letters. For example rent and tern would be equivalent because they both contain the letters r,e,n,t.

Simply sort the characters of each string first, then compare them.
