According to FileZilla's configure.log, wxWidgets simply is not in the PATH FileZilla code in Windows.

Unfortunately FileZilla does not support that particular configuration.
If in doubt, compile wx from source and make sure the Unicode::string as base for wxString.
To install? No idea, I'm not using OpenSuse.

Edit: Also, I think about compile warnings and errors than Microsoft's compiler so if you grow to like the Unix environment I'd recommend to develop there and then....
No need to use Filezilla over SSH.
Plus You have history of changes.

If the ~/.filezilla directory cannot be created FileZilla will be unable/.filezilla
These two commands correct the permissions on your home directory and if it already exists, the .filezilla subdirectory....
