More RAM is not needed is currently wrong with my computer at the moment its burnt out two G Cards, mind you, its around 4-5 years computer at the moment....
Though the computer seems to come without a Harddrive and Dvd drive.

Yeah new mb for that i3 and 8 gigs of ddr3 .
You'll also need new memory - Sandy Bridge uses DDR3 and your system probably has DDR2 .
You'll need a new motherboard, since the Sandy Bridge CPUs use a 1155 pin socket and the Core2 CPUs use LGA 775 .

This cooler is better performing.
Sound cards are useless unless you have some fancy and expensive audio equipment to go with them .
