The grove / gap / trench what concrete/Xypex in the hole where the sump bucket sits - the filter pit floor is poured around the extremely tiny space between the concrete....
To cut grove / gap into the concrete around your sump bucket.

Frame the walls 1" off the concrete, not up against the concrete.

Concrete walls do get wet.

It will etch the concrete.
Was the concrete sealed prior?? I had the same problem, and pressure gun wash does not work just not use hydrochloric acid.

Build out the wall and insulate, add strapping over foam and drywall.
