I have a question about confession that I am sure is pretty straightforward and simple, but I just can't find the answer to it in any of my books. Let's say a person has two mortal sins on their souls and they are repentant about one of them, but disagree...

One can confess a venial sin one is contrite etc to not that such goes for Mortal sins only.
It is "all or nothing"..with venial sins it is not.

My review of the Eucharist in Scripture and ECF writings doesn't limit it's forgiveness to only Venial sins. In fact, the venial/mortal distinction is not made. Am I missing some discussion by ECF's or Scripture that makes a distinction between minor ...
