Consolidate Debt or Debt management plan.
What is the difference? What are the benefits?
Is one better than the other, when considering the affect it will leave on
my credit report. Is there a doubt about either one of them?

My partner and I live together and he has recently asked me for help to sort out his finances. He has roughly £9000 in debt across 3 credit cards, an overdraft and a personal loan. He was hoping to take out a personal loan over two years to consolidate...

You have to be very sure that you can pay off know that much about mortgages... .
Much better to tackle things head on and reduce to people to just rack up more debt in the long term.

Okay, looking for some help.
I've got about $30K in credit card debt, across several cards, I've been making the min payment for years without fail, but I'm not getting anywhere with the debt, it's staying the same because I can't afford to pay extra....

I recently did one through Discover for $15K and it lowered cc payment from $500 a month at 23% interest to $287 a month at 10% interest .
A score in the mid 700's should get you a decent rate on a consolidation loan.

No, Debt consolidation of their concept of "protection" yea, but its just basically like organizing your debt.
