Can A Landlord Insist On A Tenant Having Contents Insurance?
It's no more 'legal' than the other conditions of the tennancy - you can accept or reject what you like. Whether they will still rent it to you if you don't want to pay it is another matter.
I did arrange my own poilicy as most of the contents are mine, and I was quite happy for this to cover the landlords' contents too. In my case, the landlord offered to pay a proportion of the premium.

Endsleigh all the way, they actually pay out with no hassle. Ive gone with them every year, and you can pay monthly if you cant afford the full whack at once.

Are printed online invoices fine as far as receipts go? Since I buy most of my stuff online, I generally have all the confirmation there. I keep receipts for larges items I buy in stores, but I don't always keep the paper invoices that come with online deliveries...
