So I bought a bag of dried chickpeas, but there are no instructions on them. I was told they are tastier than the tinned variety.
Any ideas what I do with them? I assume I need to soak them overnight and then boil them, is that correct? And then use them...

Was it just chickpeas....
The first time I made them I used cooked chickpeas good.
It is possible to make falefel with cooked chickpeas of flour into the mix for this to happen.
I only like them after they have been cooked.

I cook under pressure for 17 minutes....
I pressure cook chickpeas, even soaked minutes wouldn't get chickpeas soft enough for me, nor kidney beans, or pintos.
Use fresh water (rinse the soaked beans first).
To be on the safe side.

Beans: Cans or home cooked? which is better?
It's really easier for me to buy beans in cans...but is this healthy? I usually buy organic ones for about a dollar.

Liquid will help protect them from freezer burn.
All cooked beans freeze well, with or without their liquid.
No reason why black beans would not work out well .
I mainly freeze cooked chickpeas, without liquid, and they work well.

Cheers powerlifter
the lettuce bun is a good idea - you can get quite a lot of lettuce... .
Using lettuce as the burger bun is an awesome way to get more greens in also, especially for us gluten/wheat free vegans .
Looks good might give it a shot this weekend.

I soaked the chickpeas/garbanzos before preparation.
Next, the sesame seeds were toasted.
