I slipped down to Awoonga Dam (Just west of Gladstone) after work yesterday to chase a few Barra. I did OK, with the only fish landed in the night session. A 94cm barra. I was stoked as this was the first time I have fished here. My mate picked up a 9...

Found a few links park there aswell as a bush camp.....
For a month at the end of March and have some Barra and deep sea fishing lined up, said to be very good about two other campers there.

Done a runner from the lovely cold New England winter and exploring some of the outback Qld. backblocks.
Found a 1/2 decent bush camp spot well inland on the Flinders and found that these 1/2 decent barra are lurking there as well.
Now have the freezer...

Bonnie and I have got back from our trip up to Lakefield National Park, the other day. My brother and my father also came as well, the first trip camping for my brother with his new camp trailer.
