I have noticed that our local PBS stations have stopped carrying their
cooking shows on Saturday afternoons- anyone else notice this? These
were usually older shows- none of that cupcake war crap! I guess I
need to complain, but just wondering if this...

I usually and give some tips on lightening dishes I'm not a fan of "healthful cooking" shows because I loveim still a fan of Ellie....
As "healthy cooking"- I find things I want to cook from Bobby Flay and Giada's shows.

Just watched one of the cooks (and I use the term cook on purpose) on FN take a chicken out of brine and toss directly into a roasting pan and then add a rub mixed with butter under the skin and over the skin that has an additional Tsalt.

I don't recall which chef/cook it was but recently saw one of FN's teachers in all while the interior stays rare.
I thnk she was Batali's sous chef for an hour .
That takes her out of the 'cook' category into the professionally trained.

Am I killing animals by watching cooking and hunting shows? My theory is that the 1 view that I add to the TV shows millions of views could be contributing to the death of animals.
If nobody watched a cooking it hunting show then they wouldn't keep making...

Hi, I admit it I am addicted to the Food Network! LOL I can't get enough of those cooking shows. Paula Deen is my favorite although there is a lot of controversy right now over her announcement about having diabetes. My reasoning is everything in moderation...

I can just watch these cooking shows and get the chef to send me whatever that was cooked in the show I enjoy the odd cooking show but I wouldn't really sit down and watch one.

Topchef is better than masterchef thats for sure, UK do better celeb shows I think, Ironchef UK is needed!
