Ok so I have to ask because I again this morning cut one of my figure nails while shaving – bad this time - but I seem to do this often yet can’t seem to figure out how on earth I get this right.

I gave up on the double/triple blades and shave cream in cans years ago. Now I use a Feather safety Razor w/feather blades. Shaving brush and shave soap in a mug. The old way is so far superior to the"new". Perhaps other members are also enlightened. ...

Just wondering if anyone else has ever heard of this. Back when I was in basic, we were told to clean our weapons with shaving cream, and to also put a light coat of it on our eye pro (anti fog).
It seemed to work ok though, but I never really knew if...

Cleaning? No.
What army? Kiss army maybe? It is an anti-fog, but soap works better as a field expedient .
Nothing in shaving cream would out perform proper cleaning methods.

There have been lots of ideas floated here about what to do after shaving.
