They are not commonly used on big mowers ? its a 25hp kawasaki liquid cooled on a 61 ferris 55 hp. Noisy as hell!I'm guessing that they aren't used often because the price of a liquid cooled is more than an air cooled. Though the liquid cooled may be more expensive at the beginning
