Too many things a cordless is no good for.
I kid you, I think a corded drill is a MUST before a cordless one.
Is a slightly newer model (maybe late 50's) and the cord was replaced with a lamp cord.

Never used an electric before. I would think it'd be a better choice now that gas is crap (thank you ethanol) and expensive.

I use an electric edge trimmer with a 75' extension cord I used a corded....
If they can build an electric car w/o the cord, I'm sure there are cordless irregular shaped yard I think would suck.
Hated having a cord.
