I think a cordless drill is much that your cordless....
For cordless, the 12-volt if the battery is charged, plus cordless drills are underpowered.
You can get them for around 12.99 at harbor freight .

It is now 5 years old.
I have a 19.2 volt PC cordless drill with Nicads.
I didnt realize that NiCad batteries were not as hardy as Li-ion .

I just found milwaukee is good to.
For being cordless I've been downright impressed.
Oh nice wood, but occasionally metal too.
Online through home depot for $299.99 it includes the hammer drill and impact you won't be sorry.
