The older Q series are still very good for gaming, I would however point out that the Q6600 is a great overclocker and compatible with most 775 motherboards .

I'm currently running a ASUS p5q Pro with q8400 (Stock 2.66ghz) currently @ 3.38Ghz.
FSB is about 423 or so and I believe the only thing holding me back from pushing the FSB to 500 is my memory.
Currently Im just using cheapy kingston DD2 80...

habe einen Q8400 @ 3 Ghz mit ner 4670 Graka.
Lohnt sich der Umstieg auf Ivy Bridge zum Zocken? Meine Lieblingsspiele sind CPU lastig (Starcraft 2 und Anno 1404). Würde den Ivy Bridge dann mit ner Radeon 7850 kombinieren.

Dein quad is uralt und hat so langsam aber sicher ausgedient.
Glaub schon, hab zu 100% mehr leistung haben.
Q8400 auf Ivy dürfte wohl so sein wie von nem Käfer auf nen Porsche.
Grafikkarte aufrüstest.
