I've been hearing a lot about High Fructose Corn Syrup lately and I want to know exactly how bad it is for weight loss, and what foods to avoid. Ive learned a lot of things to avoide lately such as jelly, some bread, a lot of juices, fruit snacks, crackers...

HFCS contains man made fructose which causes obesity. It's the cause of the biggest health crisis in the US. At least that's what my friend is telling his 7 year old son who reads labels and won't eat anything with HFCS in it.

What I am curious about, since there seem to be some quite clever educated types hanging around here, is why HFCS gets along so exceptionally...

Is High Fructos Corn Syrup good for you? I've heard that its' unhealthy (in comparison to other sugar addives... i guess?) but in the commercials (i know why am I taking info from commercials) it says it's.... 'good' for you.

OK, so DS is GF, and Monday we tried a new doc and we are now trying to avoid gluten, dairy (already been doing those) and now corn and commercial eggs. I HAD been using cornstarch to thicken sauces and such instead of flour, but now obviously cornstarch...

I'll say this....I use around a teaspoon per day in my morning coffee .
I'm not seeing much science from either side of the agave debate, outside of the glycemic index claims which both sides seem to agree upon .
Not all agave is 90% fructose.

I've often seen high-fructose corn syrup as one of the variables to consider.
Even though HFCS is made from corn! No fucking shit them fatter much quicker.
Corn is not high fructose corn syrup.
