Is it true that some muslims are allowed to marry their first cousins?
This isn't a hate or racist thread, but one of my friends is a muslim (not sure what type, but his parents are pakistani) and he was telling me how at his last two family gatherings...

It depends which state you live in, but in many states it is legal to marry your first cousins. All states allow the marriage of second cousins. ChaCha again!

Is it okay if my maternal cousin to marry my paternal cousin? I.E. My cousin from my mother's side marrying my cousin from my father's side. I don't see any problems here since they are not blood related and only related due to the marriage of my parents...
