I'm going to have a go at refurbing the rocker cover of the Plus, with some red wrinkle paint. I'll have to replace the rubber gaskets I presume? I can buy just the gasket itself for £12, or the Gasket with the spark plug 'O' rings for £19. Is it advisable...

The new valve cover gasket installed on my '67 GTV is leaking oil out the front edge. This gasket was included in a set from International, which seems to not be the best quality (also had trouble with the rear cover gasket). Anyone have a recommendation...

The valve cover gasket on the passenger side seems to be leaking a bit of oil, right in the center. I am going to wipe it down to be sure, but oil on top of the exhaust manifolds is a pretty good sign.
Am I removing this or just tightening down the cover...

My 1985 8v GTI leaks a bit from the cam cover, it has the original tin cover with the cork gasket and the two rubber half moon seals. Is there a better repalcement? as I can't see it ever being 100% oil tight as it is

This job leads to quite a few other "while the mating surface of your head to valve cover -especially on the exhaust side - for any tiny cracks.
And new TB gasket since it needs to be removed (per FSM).
