Ok , getting nervouse, going to cozumel next week and I looked at the weather and it looks like chance of showers all week. Are the showers in cozumel like those in florida , which pass fast and then the sun is back out or do they linger all day.?

Does anyone know how long/cost to get on ferry from Cozumel to Playa Del Carmen , bus to Cancun , taxi to Puerto Juarez , ferry to Isla Mujeres ?

First, the costs: Cozumel ferry to PDC is 155 pesos, I believe (less than $12), ADO bus to Cancun vacation between the two islands? We do Cozumel and PDC, what the heck, maybe we will do the two island hop.

From cruise-passenger donations, the Cozumel Red Cross is holding British coins that are not accepted by Mexican banks. We are hoping that one of you visiting Cozumel may be willing to trade the coins for USD or MXN. The total value of the coins today...

Deb If you can not find someone from the UK, how about sending them back to US with a local to exchange and bring back? As far as I know, US banks don't accept foreign coins .

Just saw a deal for the Cozumel Palace ...we are booked at Iberostar but wonder if we should switch. Services, facitlities and food sound great but wonder about enough fun for our two teen daughters. thoughts? input?

Walk on a beach, go sailing, etc or go shopping? Swimming pool is nice at the Palace as well as snorkeling... .
What would they like to do.
Hard to tell with teens, but at CP you have the option of walking into town where there are lots of things going on .

Cozumel Palace has everything....
Cancun would be more of a party atmosphere and Cozumel is more relaxed and laid back.
Personally, I think Cozumel would be a great honeymoon destination, but it really depends on what YOU are looking for.

We are considering staying 3 nights at the Cozumel Palace resort and 5 nights at the Cancun Palace resort. Or maybe staying 8 nights in Cancun with day trip to Cozumel. Any recs? We've been to Cancun before but never Cozumel.

Give yourself a little extra time to explore Cozumel and get to know IT.
Cozumel is a fair hike from CUN to expect.
If I were in your flip flops, I'd do the Cancun /Cozumel split.

There is also a petition to ban hunting sharks for their fins on that site .
That this resort will reverse Cozumel's current economic slump.

Wondering if anyone has done this recently? It seems it is almost cheaper and most definitely faster this way for 3 of us. Hints on doing this? - or just straight forward. First time for not booking a package vacation. Thanks

So is that if you add the cost of the Maya Air flight you may be at a point where just paying for the Cozumel flight makes sense.
No flight arriving in Cozumel on a Thursday that did not involve an overnight US airport layover.

We will be cruising into Cozumel on March 3 and will be in port from 7am-4pm - our first trip to Cozumel. Any suggestions on touristy/historical things to do either on Cozumel or Playa del Carmen. Don't know if we will have time to go to Cancun. Thx.

There are bus tours around Cozumel? Is that a worthwhile tour? I remember some great hotels in Cozumel and once we also rented a jeep to drive around a bit.
