I have just applied for the 0 percent for 20 months. I went through the full application and was accepted in principle. Does anyone know what happens next and how long before I will now hear something from them.

However we have so much available credit with cards that have never been just applied for the 0 percent for 20 months.
Will go in our favour.

A joint application won't make any difference as you will still both have bad credit ratings.

Beyond getting a credit card there is little you can do.
The app store requires a credit card for purchases.
