Probably half or more of the shops at Gateway Mall, about 4 blocks East of Temple Square, are owned by Mormons. At least half I would say. What will happen when City Creek Mall opens? Probably, Gateway is going to become a ghost-town.

What happened to the Barton Creek movie theater? Not the one in the mall but the one across the street. I think it was the 1st stadium seating theater in Austin. I saw Transformers there which was only ~3 years ago. I thought maybe it was under renovation...

There's nothing special about any of them IMO other than the Mall of the Emirates having the ski centre.

Cherry Creek North shopping district has an assortment of some of my favorite, friendly people, great outdoor opportunities....
Nearby shopping, good schools and the Cherry Creek and new or renovated.
The area around Cherry Creek would be ideal.
