So I am scouring Clist for a Cricut machine and the ones I'm looking at are the basic personal model....what are y'all thoughts on the basic model? Pros/cons and what it can/cannot do? I def want it to work with vinyl, but not sure what else...

I love mine!
I also get my vinyl from ohmycrafts.com.
Hope this helps also suggest getting a gypsy.
Once I go through my vinyl stash, they will be who I will use next.
That they are reasonably priced.

I have heard lots of great things about the Cameo. I am not the computer geek type at all. I do have lots of cartridges, but was wandering if you have the Cameo do you love it? Do you own both machines? Pros vs. cons on the two machines. Thanks in advance...

I recently scored a great deal on a Cameo and I'm dying to try it out on vinyl. What is the best source for vinyl and transfer paper? Is there a particular brand or type of vinyl that works better than others? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thx!

I needed black vinyl to make my SIl a canvas for her beach condo. I thought I had vinyl but what I had was just scraps. I had a friend email that she was headed up to HL and did I need anything. I had just ordered Cricut vinyl from another online spot...

You can use a coupon at HL for the cricut vinyl btw, just not on the machines.
It is great, I have used it and been just as happy with it as the cricut vinyl (which incidentally is just the oracal vinyl).

Ok, saw a thread about the expression but now there is the Imagine choice. Does anyone have one? Do you like it/have any problems? I think I can get an Expression 2 for $150 or so and an Imagine would prob be twice that, do you think it's worth it? And...
