Okay, I've got the chain down, now to single crochet. When you put your need in the stitch to crochet, do you come up with one thread or two?

Question about cotton crochet thread? I have 2 cones of cotton thread and have used it in the past to make dish cloths. I would like a pattern to make something different. I went to the site "Peaches and Cream" that makes the thread, but it was no help...

Are crocheted skirts out of style? Does anything in bellydance truly go "out of style"?
I am thinking about the mermaidy-type skirt with a big flounce at the bottom. Tulay wore that style sometimes.

I was just thinking it might be nice. There is a scrapbooking forum and a recipe swap forum and I have seen knitting and crocheting mentioned quite a bit here and there. I would love to have a forum on this board to exchange patterns and ideas and tips...

I recently learned how to crochet and my son asked me to make him a blanket for his birthday. I started it last night and quickly realized I did not buy a big enough roll! I got a decent amount done and really don't want to start over!
