I need information on where to stay pre-cruise in the Miami area? The Port of Miami Holiday Inn is booked for the days we need. I would like to stay near the port and in walking distance to some things to see/do if possible. What is there to see/do suggestions...

Recommendations of where to stay for two or three nights prior to a cruise out of Miami. Since I won't be having a car, should be close to good restraurants.

I always fly in the day before we leave - lesson learned the hard way a long time ago. Sailing out of Miami on the Breeze --- where do you suggest. Just need a 'place to stay' overnight as our flight prob won't even arrive...
