The class Varien_Data_Form_Abstract has a method addType you can copy the block Mage_Adminhtml_Block_Widget_Form to the local code pool and extend the method_type' => 'Namespace_MyModule_Block_Widget....

To do this, just create a subclass that are available, such as django-extensions , which override the form fields and are good learning the different form fields ....
