Keep in mind that it is a smart....
You can make it at any time, it stores good, never run out.
But for post-SHTF yeast will be king.
As MTShawn has pointed out, both will store FAR beyond.
To use) both yeast and baking powder.

Hi everyone,
I wondered if it is possible to make bread without yeast? I have all of the other ingredients at home.
Is it possible to substitute it with baking powder?
Thanks.

I have never made a yeast starter, I've always just pitched using Wyeast or White Labs. What are the benefits of doing a yeast starter? Will it really make the beer that much better?

Or at least be happy.
Sugar alone doesn't have the needed nutrients for the yeast to survive.
Go check out the tried and true.
But a good recipe is what you need.
It's not so much the yeast.
