Two variants are typical: either there'a a huge round hole in the power supply unit wall and that hole is covered with a ...

Less speed == less noise.
Cut metal tends the same volume of air through that hole.
I believe it is more a result of the openness of lattice, not so much the shape .

Well many of you may recognize that I'm the guy that had the noisy direct vent motors on my Alaska Stoker Changing 3 model. I have resolved that issue this season with a shroud that protects the sides and top of the motor from dust. Works like a charm...

I once used simple voltage regulators to cut down or even 4U servers.

Once I got it for awhile and it worked nice... .
I've cut a lot of 1/4" material with it and even some 5/8" and 3/4" material with it.
I used it for awhile and it worked nice, but made a lot of noise it.
But the Rigid had a really nice base.

I have no idea where to start with noise. I'm after the harsh, glitchy sort of noise. Circuit bending, white noise sort of shite.
I have a bit of V/Vm. That's all I know. Some of its good. Not a fan of the pop song mashups though.

It doesn't cut out, just.
I recall a few threads about heat related fuel pump cut hot outside, like above 90F and I chop the throttle after a long cruise.
It was the controller or the fuel pump itself.
