I want to get a pair of cycling shoes but not the ones that clip in as I dont have those pedals.and I'm just starting out so nothing to expensive.
Any recommendatons?or even where to look?

Pearl Izumi makes some good shoes too.....
A fewI've been real happy with Shimano shoes but I'm not sure if they come that wide.
The width of the shoes is what I would expect in an American sized shoe.
Generous in the toe box.

I need to replace my Sidi cycling shoes. Old pair was 46.5 but now need to go to a 47. since the left toe touches the tip of the shoe. The problem the heel is to wide. The heel is eithre too wide or slips when cycling.
Tried on several shoes from Shimano...

A good pair of cycling shoes can literally last you YEARS, so-end cycling shoes....
You may have to bump up to the Sidi shoes some money, but IMHO, it's worth it.
Of these pads in my right shoe and it works perfectly.

Josh has grown out of these, but there's plenty of wear left in them. Good cyclo-cross shoes, with 2 toe studs - they've also been used for road.
They're marked as UK5, USA 7, EUR 38, are lace up with extra velcro strap over the top.
