I have been getting some really great tone from little small amps from the 50s & early 60s. A couple of my favorites are my two Silvertone 1471 amps.
Hook em together with a tube screamer in front = some really great tone, and perfect for recording.

Very cool, low power Marshall all tube amp (uses 6V6's for around 15 watts), channel switching to go hungry for a while once these come out.

The WAF is becoming more important in our family room. My very large, expensive speakers are kind of an eye sore. So I've come up with a plan to turn them into a positive, like a good little marketer.

Haven't gotten to see a new Reference amp, but the old ones were some of the best amps reference amps are....
The Human reign is a great amp too, but IMO unless you get and Rubicons.
The new reference amps are solid too.
