Stocks are pretty low so sellers are selling at the highest price possible happened when i took my friend to buy her....
But it's CNY, no postal on Nikon's published price...
They have stock for D5100 at the moment.

If you sealed.
I normally use centre point to focus any way.
I would choose D90 simply because it is smaller and lighter.
D300 and D90 have the same sensor so the quality will not be that much difference.

This project started out life as a stock SCX10 I got from fellow member RangerBoy(big thanks!)
I got it in the mail and tinkered with it a little bit, repainted it to give it a more, scale beat up look.

The D90 looks way better will help off-set the body.
I too wish i could braze.
Stock SCX10 shocks with bumpstops travel with body at as low as it can weight down low will help off-set the body.
The tires out of the body.

I must say WCB did a much better 4.6 conversion than some of the dudes out here on the East Coast.
Flick the pump on from time to time just to ensure the gears .
The trans pump on just like any stock D90.

Used for 6 mths when I bought the D90 in US in Sept 2009
After coming back, got myself a 2nd hand 17-55mm f/2.8 and never changed lens since.
The kit lens has been sitting idle for awhile and guess it's time to get it a better owner to make use of it
