May I know can the LM7806 be able to power up a 6V DC motor?
Does it have enough current to turn the motor on? I don't have the motor datasheet. I'm asking generally.

If this LM7806 is also ?

Power is about 1W, so current is less than 1A .
Its depends on your motor voltage supply requirement if your dc motor is turn requirement to on your DC motor.
A output current capacity.

Most user say, the best kind of motor for this aim is a DC motor.
Are there also a benefit for the synchronous motor in opposide to a DC motor?
Thanks for advices.

I would say that AC or DC motor is not the defining parameter, once a good motor is chosen, it is a matter of how the speed of that motor is controlled.
Including the strobo test.

18 volts dc through a 12 volt dc motor. the motor operates a hydraulic pump. no electronics other than a coil relay to close the motor circuit. i would still just wire the relay 12 volts. Whole thing is to operate a 1 inch bore RAM. 1000lbs pushing capacity...

My advice buy a motor to do the job.
It isn't just the voltage on the DC motorJust wondering how long it will take your motor to overheat! not very long by the sounds of it.
Electrical department i think they will advise no.

I need a design for motoring & regenerative braking of DC motor that works in proteus ISIS 7 professional.
I need the .DSN file or any images that helpful for me.
Please help me anyone

You need some other software like PSIM, labview or etc that able to simulate the mechanical parts as well. .
Hi,
I don't think proteus can do that.

Turning the potentiometer down basically increases sure what the voltage range of the motor it.
Stops the motor when turning it down.

I am trying to get a DC motor to run in one direction until it reaches the end position then stop and switch polarity so it will run the other direction when power is reapplied.
Then do the same thing at the other end.

Hi rogue bird, here....
The motor is rated @ 12 VDC, 2A at full load will work.
What voltage and current is the motor?
Is it the power supply to the motor that is switched? I am using a deep-cycle 12 volt battery to run the motor.

Simple DC motor control
Following several PMs and most recently Si's Origin live thread here's an idea for a simple controller for DC turntable motors, in particular low-voltage DC motors which seem to be popular currently. These offer fairly low vibration...

Hi,
i have designed a brushed DC motor driver ckt , in that driver IC is TB6612FNG used. my problem is i have Brushed DC motor of rating DC 12V, 0.58A but driver will driver the motor of following specification i.e 15v(max) and 1.2 to 3.2A(peak) . can...

Problems only happen if the motor tries to draw more current than the controller can deliver..
It will not spoil your motor.
You can safely use TB6612FNG IC driver for driving your brushed dc motor.

Can one use the DC servo motor from a turntable to power a DIY record cleaning machine ? 1) Is it strong enough 2) Is it alot harder to wire since its not a direct DC motor ?
Thanks in advance...

Second, you can't just apply DC....
First, typical servos are not used for continuous rotation...
If you want a DC motor for DIY cleaning machine regular DC motors.
The motor, you always wish it had more power...
