I just started taking Crestor, 5mg this evening. I am diabetic so it is good if I take it even thought my cholesterol is under 200.
Have you had good experiences with this drug? Did it lower your numbers? How long does it take before you see any change...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at twopeasinabucket):
On Crestor, I run around....
My cholesterol, with diet and exercise is around 200- a little over or a little under.
I take it because it also decreases triglycerides, which is my main issue .
It significantly lowered my cholesterol.

Our bodies manufacture--which is what this seems to reflect.
What most people don't understand is that cholesterol is about 90% genetic.

My DH isn't the healthiest of people.
I can't force him to be active, though.
He doesn’t want to do anything as I do.
I am very active and DH….well, he’s a load.
Unfortunately, I am.

I hope your DH is able to get it under history, I'm surprised it took this long.....
DH went on WW this summer, and I think part of his motivation was to avoid diabetes (his grandfather had Type I).
History, I'm surprised it took this long.
