Hi, i am about to start doing some diy round the house namely fitting a new kitchen , bathroom electrics. i was wondering if you can recomend good diy forums i can join to ask questions or get advise. thanks css_jay99

My new solid surface kitchen countertop was installed last week in our new house, not yet moved in. On final inspection of it today, there is a 2 inch black line on the front of the top, top is white. I saw one of the workers filling this in last week...

Our house was....
The general thought is that there is no way to *fix* the shower walls...we have to rip it out and start over .
The shower walls are old tile...the grout is flaking off, there are cracks, and it is generally hideous .
I am currently in the process of changing my kitchen but want to design it myself, what do I do? Thanks people!

Have a look at some on-line catalogues to get the sizes of appliances and cabinets, etc should I use and how do I design the doors? There are loads of online kitchen planners that allow you kitchen planner.

How do you remove thin brass nut on a single handle delta faucet . Kitchen sink faucet. tomie

Under the sink? The big one holding the faucet to the sink? I try a basin wrench first---if that doesn't grab--I get my drill and drill the nut in two places and then break the nut free with a screw driver---- Hammer and... .
A picture would definitely help.
* I am not sure if kitchen entryway is the right word but here is a picture of it. There is a crack that runs along the length of this double beam, which makes the top of the entrance to the kitchen. It looks like the previous home owner / contactor neglected...

Why does it look like there is a length of wood running along the opening on the kitchen side there is a length of wood running along the opening on the kitchen side? I see what your seeing now.
My kitchen is small and in need of complete rebuild. Looking at the "in stock" cabinets of the Home Depot store, I'm wondering if it is as easy as it appears, to just plug and play these cabinets. Has anyone done this? Maybe if the HD designer could work...
