Ssi dive control vs padi DM I am a padi rescue diver, or master scuba diver with 6 specialities am wanting to go pro and do a dive master course.

I was a PADI DM and have the SSI standards in my DM is like comparing ....
And likely require your skills of the skills and education required for the courses I noted .
Will put your knowledge above either the PADI DM or SSI Dive Con.

The difference between the two can boil down to:
SSI Dive con is for SSI dive shops.
PADI DM is for PADI dive centers.
If I was to pick one, knowing that I wasn't going to work in the industry, I'd go for SSI. They are pretty much the same course if you...

Dive Cons can teach parts of the OW course (classroom) & can teach parts of the confined water portion under the supervision of an instructor .
Is Assistant Instructor Level.

Number of dives to me is slightly are doing the internship option .
The minimum for DM is 60 and 100 for a PADI instructor.

The craft skill in the 3.5 P.H. (pg. 70) says that untrained laborers and assistants earn an average of 1sp a day, yet it does not say exactly how they are used to produce goods/items for PCs. Clarification?

I'd guess 2 assistants for many crafts.
Not crafting under pressure the assistant can take a 10 to insure success on giving the main crafter assistants stack until the DM says it's unreasonable.
