I have setup two VPSs with cPanel DNS Only in two different geographical locations, and created a DNS cluster with my one cPanel webserver.

webserver1 and webserver2 -> Configure Cluster -> dnsonly1 and webserver2 standalone
Basically, you only have the dns only machines listed in Configure Cluster listed in Configure....

I hope this helps you out the cluster to sync to....
For a DNS cluster, your primary server should be set to 'synchronize changes' if you want all be technically possible, it does defeat the purpose of the dns cluster.

I was looking up info on using Google DNS for our website but found info on using Google Public DNS for our local computers.
Anyone know if how much faster it is? Or a good way to measure it?

If you have WHMC/cPanel on one of the servers then you dont install DNSONLY on that server as well, you would just link that cPanel install to your other server with dnsonly. .

I resolved.
It is disconcerting to see an error message every time you edit a DNS zone though.
Are still being updated - it's just that cPanel is trying to update a local DNS server that is disabled.
