Recently my "I/O Magic 52x24x52/16x Internal CD-RW & DVD-ROM Combo
Drive" has started creating coasters whenever I try to burn a CD.
Neither CD-RWs or CD-Rs work. It reads back old previously burnt CDs
fine, and DVDs. I just refuses to create new ones...

Já to teda zkoušel a nešlo mi to ale mělo by to nějak jít když na tom recovery DVD ta vista přece je sehnal od někoho originál DVD....
Zajímalo by mě jestli jde tímto způsobem upravit i Recovery DVD s vistou ktery sem dostal k notebooku.

and some are fussy.

It should be able to, but if you can upgrade to say a 6850 (would probably mean about 60-90 dollars more) it would probably also bang out the FPS in more graphically intensive games such as BF3, Witcher 2 and Skyrim(max details).
