Side lights not working & dashboard lights not working? help! i fitted new lights and sidelights but the sidelights have stopped working and so have the lights behind the dashboard. anyone know what the problem might be?

On an 88 deville can i open the dash and change the lights in my speedometer? Maybe from

My servicing is done by an independent garage with BMW approval, not a dealer .
I only
Never seen the MOT light.
And just do it with every oil change now so it doesn't get its own service light on newer models.

This is a very minor issue I'm sure but just curious why these two lights never come on during initial self-test? Which is the airbag and power steering light, as my mate owns a Punto except the 16v version of mine and his airbag and power steering...

That's what i don't get the car had to find out what color the lights need to be (i think it's red and yellow) and what type of case checked and find out if it's working....
The airbag light not coming on and then going off would be a fail.

My dashboard lights stopped coming on, but the fuse is fine. I have checked the dimmer switch and its not the issue. Any thoughts on whythe dashboard lights would not come on? The radio lights and temp control backlights do not come on ether.

The light circuit I would think that you have some wires melted together either at a plug.
Would the lights go out on their own after about a minute? just asking.
