I had a dating scan at 12 weeks which put my EDD at a week ahead of the IVF/ICSI dates. At the 12 week scan, the sonographer said "it doesn't matter what your IVF dates were, this is EDD we use now". This seems a bit odd to me, since I know exactly how...

My hospital were adamant that a dating scan was more accurate and would consider too small, ....
I personally fail to see how a 2 dimensional of different sizes .

So yesterday had my dating scan and I'm so upset and sad. We saw a gestational sac and yolk but no baby By my dates from last AF I should of been 7weeks 4days. The ultrasound person wasn't nice and said that I'm not pregnant and she didn't understand...

In terms of asking for a dating scan - if you can afford it you could ask a referral for a dating scan.

Got a scan date through for my 12 weeks scan from the GP, 'cept it's 2 weeks earlier, because they're going by my LMP which IS INCORRECT.
(Have PCOS, but charted and temped when TTC'ing)

Do you need to take your notes for private scans? They asked me to buy I read they can refuse your 12 week scan if youve had a private one for dating? Last time I had four scans before my first nhs one and nothing was said, is this a new thing?

I would bring but don't offer unless they ask for it.. .
Iv a private scan booked for the morning, following advice from a friend who used to work will confirm when you have your 12 weeks scan...
