If you're styling each box with a border, they could look off if the content for one day is longer than another, but if you were to look at Google Calender....
The biggest issue when using divs would be box height for each individual day.

I'm not sure if anyone else did this, but back in the Knot days, I remember silk embroidered tags were popular. I had one made for my wedding dress with DH & my name & wedding date; I had it stitched into my dress.

Kohana and Codeigniter both have encode_php_tags() . I understand XSS cleaning (for Javascript), but when and why would you use encode_php_tags() ? What is the security threat?

A smart prevent the user from entering PHP code....
Purely a visual thing, but there you have it...
Just replaces the < and > in the PHP tags with their encoded forms, thus disallowing the actual PHP code between the tags to be parsed.

Edit personally retagged a couple of very small tags into larger ones.
The Community Bot is supposed to clean up tags (or at least will at some point).

Is there a common way of dealing with tags in databases?
I'm thinking of using tinytext with pipes. I think adding another table and using IDs might make it more complicated for little gain.
